really interesting band, mix of calypso and rock, looked as I imagine The Decemberists do, pack of fresh-faced little boys bounding all over the stage in a jam party, had shakers, keyboard, guitars, drums, must have been 7 guys, Kid on My Shoulder is still their best song, good eggs

third time I’ve seen them and you know I’m against that, they’re darling and the lead singer has gotten braver: invited guys up on stage and then immediately warned a drunk one Don’t touch me!, wasn’t as impressed with their music but possibly just poor attitude on my part

this was the indoors show and what a difference it was: death-metal / screamo with some rap nuances and I couldn’t stop giggling at them, they took themselves way too seriously, so full of their own testosterone had to take the shirts off, eyes rolling back in the head, jesus poses, and all the 18 [...]

first song was tight and pop-hard with the Jenny Lewis lookalike and Moby with some hair lookalike singing in French (a little) but quickly disintegrated into being far too typical once guy took over and sang in a high school I-want-to-be-a-rocker voice

from Apple Valley! or Hesperia!, and really really good, punk with only a little bit of rockabilly, lead singer was very reminiscent of Gwen Stefani and was an excellent showwoman
