DaraArt Rock, Blues, Psychedelic
a Tom Waits tribute band that made me love Tom Waits, they may have made him harder but it was great dark bluesy rock with some carnival horror-pop type stuff too, engaging band as well with two married nerd punks playing drums and guitar (flaming lighter as a slide) and two average music guys and a new member who was terrified of it all

DaraIndie Rock
indie pop that stayed interesting and cute without being cheesy, brave little trio, studio sounds more like shoegazer music
Nov 25
DaraGoth, Indie Rock
I thought they were Hives-sounding (are from Sweden) until Rockboy nabbed it with The Cure, not half as entertaining as opener

DaraOutlaw Country, Rock and Roll
Rockboy’s babies finally presented to me and I didn’t hate them, they’re a bit of a cheesy bar band but they are fun and they are in earnest, lead is a styling mechanic from Oklahoma who is all heart, fat baby stand-up bassist with ring through his nose, sexy vocalist, miniscule drummer, 80s throwback partyboy on lead guitar, played Johnny Cash every other song, very hopped up

DaraGospel
rock gospel, four guitars?, funny though they didn’t mean it to be way of talking
Nov 20
DaraIndie Rock, Prog Rock
have long yearned after this band after seeing them at ACL Fest and downloading some songs and they are talented but their prog wore on me on Sunday, my world was falling apart a bit too though

DaraPunk
punk non-entities
Nov 19
DaraPunk, World Music
from Philly, insane geniuses, in style of gypsy punk Gogol Bordello but better
Nov 19
DaraIndie Rock
heard a single of theirs on the radio “For Real” and was very impressed but they were just dull dull dull
Nov 05
DaraIndie Rock, Pop
eh, indie pop, lots of band members, heavier than indie pop but just as non-exciting, reminded me of Spoon
Nov 05
DaraIndie Rock, Pop
very cute, scratchy strummy songs, Shins-ish, heartfelt little lyrics, from Dallas
Nov 05
DaraIndie Rock
and we reached out tolerance for male pop and left before Lil’ Capn Travis were to come on
Nov 04
DaraHard Rock
just glorious, Rockboy played Pink Floyd’s Metal for me to prove the influence, the only I want to see again and again and again
Nov 02
DaraArt Rock, Goth, New Wave, Punk
sounded more Velvet Underground than Lou Reed, he was the force behind jumpy songs like “Waiting for My Man,” Lou fought with him and kicked him out out of jealousy, his solo work anticipated punk and new wave scenes, he wasn’t AS impressive as his bio made him out but definitely a #1 in-store
Nov 01
DaraPunk, Ska
punk ska, of the 2 Tone persuasion, from Liverpool
Nov 01
DaraPunk
the Johnny Cash of punk I said and Rockboy agreed, simplistic, bad boy angst and defiance, incredibly catchy in the end
